Tommy Dyke was a summer resident of Silver Islet, Ontario, who was a well known local character of considerable color. During most summers he acted as an informal tour guide for unsuspecting tourists camping at nearby Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. This is an informal documentary lasting approximately two hours shot in 2000.

Tommy Dyke had considerable knowledge of Silver Islet but also conveyed numerous inaccuracies. Tommy's world was moved by rigid "rules" and spirits, a characteristic that made him unique. Tommy passed away several years ago and Silver Islet lost some uniqueness as a result.

This video is part of "Lake Stories" an ongoing project of events and people of Silver Islet, Ontario and Lake Superior.
